Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar Travel Guide
Hi there! 👋 I'm Benj and welcome to another Philippines Travel Guide where I share budget-friendly guides on how to visit all 82 provinces of the Philippines!
In this guide, we will be exploring Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in the province of Bataan!
Day 1
One of the best places to experience the history of the Philippines in real life. I'll share some fun facts I've learned during my overnight stay here as you continue reading.
Buckle up as we will be riding the time machine back to the past. 🚀🕰️
🚌 How to Get There?
📍 Option 1: From Pasay (I started here)
1. From Pasay Rotonda along EDSA (below MRT station). Fare is P229.
2. Take the Genesis Bus to Balanga Bus Station.
📍 Option 2: From Cubao
1. From Cubao along EDSA (below MRT station) - Fare is around P270+/pax
2. Take the Genesis Bus or Bataan Transit along EDSA Cubao to Balanga Bus Station.
Trips from Pasay and Cubao start at 04:00 AM and buses arrive every 30 minutes to 1 hour.
🚐 Continue here (whether you choose Pasay or Cubao, the next 3 steps will be the same)
3. From Balanga Bus Station station, take the jeepney going to Bagac or Morong
4. Upon reaching Bagac, get down at the Filipino-Japanese Friendship Tower and go to the tricycle station
5. Take a tricycle going to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar (Gate 5 entrance)
🛌 Book a Beach Front Room

I booked a Deluxe or Premium Room with a beach view, free breakfast the next day, and unlimited access to the entire place.

I highly recommend staying overnight as this place becomes even more beautiful at night. See more photos under the "Night Mode" section.

- If you arrive early, you can leave your things at the front desk and start exploring.
- You'll receive a text once your room is available.
- In the meantime, you can do the Walking Tour and here's a preview.
⛪️ Church

While waiting for the guide of the walking tour, you can start taking photos at the church.

🚶 Walking Tour

From the front desk, you will ride a complimentary jeepney to the starting point of the tour.

Fun fact: Some houses came from other locations in the Philippines, carefully disassembled from their original locations, and reassembled here.

- Left: where the Heneral Luna movie was shot, figuratively and literally
- Right: A hallway that will give you a Game of Thrones vibe.
🧠 Fun fact: This is where you'll experience the CC Silip (silip means peek in Tagalog). CC Silip is a floor peephole or the CCTV of the old times where they would pour urine if they didn't like the person knocking. 😂

Vehicles of the Past: Kalesa and Wooden Tram

The streets here are so beautiful.
🌅 Sunset

- The golden hour makes that houses even more dramatic.
- The photo on the left is located at the back of the beachfront rooms.
- There's an option to ride the balsa through here. Just inquire on the front desk.

This bridge or walkway is located in the beach area. The sunset here is amazing!
🌕 Night Mode

The entire place becomes way more beautiful at night.

Although I have to admit that entering some houses gave me goosebumps especially if you're exploring solo.

That's all for today. Please sleep early so you can catch the sunrise at the beach area.

This is why I highly recommend staying overnight.

Day 2
☕️ Breakfast at Hotel de Oriente

🧠 Fun fact: This is just a replica of Hotel de Oriente. They could no longer retrieve or use the original materials as it was bombed during World War 2 and some materials would not last for the long term.

This is where you'll eat breakfast. They serve a delicious buffet-style breakfast composed of mostly Filipino food. You'll have a wide range of options.

I actually visited this during the night time and on a weekday. No other visitors and guides. 👻 It was creepy to roam around alone here but still really beautiful. Please visit this in the morning or afternoon though. 😆
🌊 Swim at the Beach

You can catch the sunrise and explore more houses in the beach area.

That ends the guide!
To go home, you can ask the front desk to request a tricycle to the terminal near the Filipino-Japanese Friendship Tower and reverse the rest of the "How to Get There" guide.
